THE APPLICATION AND THE INTERVIEWS FOR THE COMPETITION FOR 10-GRADERS TO STUDY IN USA (ASSIST) AND UK (HMC) DURING 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR IS OVER.
We kindly request the applicants from this year to check their e-mails regularly, because we are going to send e-mails with the individual results and will expect quick response.
If you are interested in our programs and want to know more about the application process and documents you can check the information and application documents from this year (here). The updated application set of documents will be uploaded in September/October 2018.
The competition is administered by the Bulgarian Reading Association (BulRA). The finalists get scholarships from our foreign partners to study in prestigious high schools in USA or UK during 2018-19 academic year.
As a result of the competition last year 8 students got scholarships from ASSIST, USA and 5 students from HMC, UK and will study in UK and US during 2017-18 academic year.
For 2018-19 AY we are expecting 10 scholarships from ASSIST and 5 from HMC.

Bulgarian Reading Association (BulRA)
BulRA was registered in 2001. In 2003 it was chartered as a national affiliate of the International Literacy Association (ILA) (www.reading.org) and a member of IDEC (International Development of Europe Committee) ( http://www.literacyeurope.org ) . It is a founding member of the Federation of the European Literacy Associations (FELA) (www.felaliteracy.org) and the RWCT IC (Reading & Writing for Critical Thinking International Consortium) (www.rwctic.org ).
BulRA is an NGO involved in various educational projects and activities outreaching diverse target groups – students of different age, parents, school and university teachers and educators in general. Its national network of members and partners makes it possible to reach directly prospective learners from different geographical sites, of different social and ethnic background and thus disseminate the good practices.
